A Testament to Our Commitment in Protecting Patient Privacy and Adhering to Federal Regulations

Topsfield, MA – We at Medical Billing Management (MBM) are proud to announce our recent accreditation by the Healthcare Business Management Association (HBMA) under its Compliance Accreditation Program. This accreditation is a significant milestone in our journey, underscoring our dedication to maintaining the highest standards in healthcare compliance, protecting patient privacy, and ensuring adherence to federal regulations in medical billing.

"Since our establishment in 1990, we have been committed to providing top-tier billing services across a wide array of medical specialties, from Anesthesiology to Urology," stated Curt Anderson, CEO of MBM. "Achieving this accreditation is a testament to our team's dedication to upholding and surpassing federal requirements for patient data protection, cybersecurity, and fraud prevention."

Jennifer Hicks, president of HBMA, congratulated MBM, saying, "HBMA recognizes the complex, highly regulated nature of the medical billing profession. By attaining HBMA compliance accreditation, Medical Billing Management has demonstrated through independent evaluation that their practices exceed the federal mandates for protecting confidential patient medical information, securing data systems, and preventing fraud."

This accreditation by HBMA represents our ongoing commitment to excellence and ethical practices in the healthcare industry. The HBMA Compliance Accreditation Program is an intensive evaluation process assessing compliance with HIPAA, and Health and Human Service Office of Inspector General standards on fraud, waste, and abuse; the Stark Law; federal Anti-kickback law; and the OIG work plan. This includes a thorough evaluation of employee training, security risks, documentation storage and handling, disaster and emergency preparedness plans, and human resources practices.

"We are delighted to receive this recognition from HBMA. It not only solidifies our position as a reliable and trustworthy provider in the healthcare billing field but also reassures our clients of our commitment to the highest industry standards," added Anderson.
